Synopsis

Myat Su Wai is one of Yangon’s first ever female bus conductors. This film follows her as she struggles to combine her long working day with bringing up her young daughter.

Director's Biography

Ngwe Ngwe Khine comes from Minbya in Rakhine. A student of English in University of Distance Education, she attended short courses in social science and international relations before joining YFS in 2014. Since directing The Bus Conductor during the 2014 Art of Documentary Filmmaking course, she has completed a YFS participatory video course with a view to taking part in the School’s outreach Travelling Cinema Project. She is currently developing a new documentary about the Marama – a little-known ethnic group from her native Rakhine.
