Born and raised in Yangon, Theint Mon Soe has a degree in English from Dagon University of Distance. Images have fascinated her since she was young, and she took her first steps in this direction by joining the Yangon Photo Festival in 2016. As a photojournalist and documentary photographer, she has since covered all kinds of cultural, social and political topics. Her group exhibitions include: “Myanmar in Transition (2016-2018)”, and a photo story “Sad Run. Fun Money. Tough Life” for &PROUD as part of the 2022 Yangon Photo Festival at Institut français de Birmanie. She enrolled at Yangon Film School in 2022. All We Need is a Little Breath is her first film as a director.
