Khin Myo Myat’s family are Inntha and hail from Inle Lake in southwest Shan State in northern Myanmar. Although Khin, who is a trained nurse, had never touched a camera before joining the 2009 YFS Beginners’ workshop, her winning personality helped her put her young protagonist and the whole family at ease during the making of this buoyant portrait.
