Taught by an international tutor with 1-2 student trainers assisting, this classroom-based four-week course aims to instill professionalism at the closing stages of the edit and encourage students to take charge of finessing a film.
In particular, students are taught how to use a range of tools including Adobe’s DaVinci® and AfterEffects® that will help them learn the art and science of colour grading to create a suitably consistent ‘look’ for their films. In addition, students learn how to create subtitles, main titles and credits for their films.
Following a thorough introduction to the technical and artistic skills required, students are given a series of hands-on exercises and real-world assignments to be completed during the course. These include the postproduction of films made at the School earlier in the year.
